An (incomplete) list of popular Swiss hip hop artists: Bligg: sings in Swiss German. Bligg collaborated with Swiss folk music band "Streichmusik Alder" on song "Volksmusik". He is part of group of hip hop artists who are fighting agains the Swiss People's Party (SVP). Listen on You Tube. Here is the text to dowload.

Maybe the most creative of the Swiss rappers. OBK (Oschtblock Kuabuaba, Eastern Bloc Cowboys): band (includes Gimma) sings in Swiss German and Romansh. Youtube clip "Ferien in Guantanamo" Bauers collective - group of artists who want to emphasize their rural roots. Members of these bands collaborate widely. 2009 THINKSWISS RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIP Apply now! Deadline March 31, 2009 For the third time, ThinkSwiss is offering 15 research scholarships for talented U.S. undergraduate and graduate students. These scholarships provide the awardees with a monthly stipend of CHF 1,000 (approx. USD 830) for a maximum of three months to conduct research at a Swiss university or research lab. The scholarship is open to students of all fields who have an outstanding academic record and a keen interest in conducting research in Switzerland. Ein Interview mit Hugo Loetscher Hugo Loetscher: Die Schweiz ist was man nennt eine Willensnation, das bedeutet, dass die klassische Vorstellung der Romantik von einer Nation mit einer eigenen Sprache, einer eigenen Geschichte und einem eigenen Volk hier nicht zutrifft. Eigentlich hat man in der Schweiz erst in den letzten Jahren damit angefangen, sich mit dem Thema "schweizerische Identität" zu beschaeftigen. Früher gab es halt die Schweiz und keiner machte sich weiterhin grosse Gedanken darüber. Mit dem europäischen Zusammenschluss hat sich das sehr geändert und obwohl die Schweiz – leider – nicht Teil der Europäischen Union ist, wird hierzulande die Frage, ob es überhaupt eine Einheit zwischen den vier Sprach- und Kulturgemeinschaften existiert, immer mehr diskutiert.
