Dragica was born in 1959 in Split (Kroatien), and lives since 1978 in St.Gallen. She has worked as a cleaning woman, an ironig woman, substitute teacher, temporary work. She is married and has 3 children. 1988 - 1991 in Croatia where she founded the journal "Glas Kasela"; worked as a journalist. After the beginning of the Balkan war, she fled to Switzerland with her children, where she writes and speaks out against the war.
